Multnomah County Library [MCL] - www.multcolib.org
As Oregon's largest public library, Multnomah County Library serves nearly one-fifth of the state's population with a wide variety of programs and services. The library ranks number one in its category for annual circulation of books; more than 85,000 people visit the library in a typical week. MCL and OLI are actively working together to promote Read Across Oregon and the Learner Web in addition to continually crafting new ways to involve more individuals in the literacy community.

The LWV (a nonpartisan political organization, encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy) partners with OLI on the Easy To Read Voting Guide. Portland Literacy Council [PLC] - www.portlandliteracy.org
The PLC (Portland's literacy coordination group) is an equal partner with OLI on all facets of the Chalk It Up event.

Hands On Portland - www.handsonportland.org
Hands on Portland (connecting 10,000 volunteers a year with opportunities that match their schedules and interests) partners with OLI on the Easy To Read Voting Guide. [http://www.oregonliteracy.org/news/ervg.php]

Portland Oasis (a national nonprofit educational organization designed to enhance the quality of life for mature adults) took an informational booth at the Chalk It Up event.

Steps to Success (a program designed to provide comprehensive educational, social, and employment services to enable job seekers to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to obtain permanent jobs or to transition into a new career) has provided OLI valuable staff and, in addition, has assisted with compiling mailings for us.

Wordstock (Portland? Annual Festival of the Book, which takes place over six days April 19-24, 2005) allows OLI to take an awareness and revenue generating booth at this festival.

Transition Projects - www.tprojects.org
Transition Projects is the primary provider of shelter and services for homeless single adults in the Portland metropolitan area. They serve more than 9,000 people each year.
