Through the Literacy Summits, we received feedback about the need for more time to build community and to further plan for bringing the ESOL Initiative to Central Oregon. Please join us for a follow up meeting; all are welcome!

Wendy Schechter of the Partnership to End Poverty will help facilitate this meeting to help further identify gaps in English literacy services for adults as well as barriers to accessing those services.

Join us to learn more about the grant opportunities through Oregon Community Foundation and to strengthen partnerships around English literacy.

Come discuss the needs of the community, the resources available in the community, and the barriers that exist for both accessing and providing language instruction. Representatives from Oregon Literacy and Oregon Community Foundation will outline the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Initiative.

Oregon Community Foundation and Oregon Literacy will also be announcing Incentive Grant opportunities for community based organizations who are interested in sponsoring English language programs. Learn how to apply for these grants and how they can be used to support your English Language Learning projects. Through the initiative, incentive grants are available to 501(c)(3) organizations such as churches, public agencies, schools, and libraries or those with 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsors.
