The
Summer Reading Improvement Program (SRIP)
was started and introduced to Benton County
in 1989. Since
then, it has been a central component of
the Council’s activities. The Benton
Literacy Council is the only organization
of its kind in this county. |

The
goals of this program are achieved through
a 6-week program of classroom, small group,
and one-to-one literacy instruction. The
classes are offered 2 hours each day, 4
days a week in the June-July timeframe.
Tuition varies and scholarships are available. |
